Privacy Policy

1. Zero Server Storage Guarantee
At ShiftTimeCard.com, we believe that sensitive payroll numbers, hourly pay rates, worker names, and shift schedules belong exclusively to you. All calculations, overtime determinations, and currency aggregations are executed 100% locally in your device's web browser via client-side JavaScript. Your timecard entries and payroll computations are never uploaded, stored, or processed on our backend servers.
2. Local Storage Usage
To ensure seamless user experience across visits without requiring an account or login, our calculators save non-identifying preferences in your browser’s local cache (localStorage). This includes:
- Your preferred hourly pay rate (so you do not have to re-type it on every visit).
- Your preferred clock format (12-hour AM/PM versus 24-hour military time).
- Your active weekly shifts for the current session.
This data remains exclusively on your physical device. You can clear this cached data at any time by clicking the "Clear" action inside any calculator or by clearing your browser's site data.
3. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense Disclosure
We may partner with third-party advertising vendors, including Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit our website. These third-party vendors use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to ShiftTimeCard.com or other websites across the Internet:
- Google's use of advertising cookies: Google's use of cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve personalized advertisements to users based on their navigation history across websites on the Internet.
- User Opt-Out: You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting AboutAds.info or Your Online Choices.
4. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) Compliance
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to specific consumer rights:
- Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of what personal information is collected, used, or shared.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of any personal data collected. Because all calculator data is stored strictly in your browser's local cache, clearing your browser cache immediately purges all local data.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: ShiftTimeCard.com does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or wage records to any third party.
- Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you, alter functionality, or charge fees for exercising any of your privacy rights.
5. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Compliance
For visitors residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, ShiftTimeCard operates under the principles established by the GDPR:
- Lawful Basis: We process minimal non-identifying technical data (such as server logs and anonymous telemetry) under the legitimate interest of maintaining website availability, security, and performance.
- User Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, port, or erase any personal information we hold, as well as the right to restrict or object to processing.
6. Third-Party Links & References
Our knowledge base and guides provide reference links to government and educational resources (such as the US Department of Labor website at dol.gov). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of external third-party domains.
7. Contact & Data Inquiries
If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy, your consumer rights, or our data handling practices, please contact us directly at support@shifttimecard.com or visit our Contact Support page.
